Blind River man arrested – domestic incident

A Blind River man has been arrested after breaking into an ex-girlfriend’s home, not once, but twice.

Last Wednesday, shortly after 7:00am, members from the East Algoma OPP responded to a domestic disturbance at a residence on Nadon Street in Blind River.
Police say a woman had woken from her sleep to find her ex-boyfriend in her home.
He left while she called police.
However, shortly after 9:00am, police responded once again because the ex-boyfriend had kicked in the front door and left in a vehicle.
While speaking to the woman, the investigation determined the ex-boyfriend had also been at her home back on October 4th in an intoxicated state, had begun an argument and threw her electronic device against a wall causing damage to it.
An arrest warrant was issued and the man arrested on Sunday.

The 21-year-old man from Blind River is charged with break and enter, two counts of mischief and three counts of breach.

He appeared in bail court in Blind River yesterday.
