Canadian Tire’s Jump Start program has received as shot in the arm from the Manitoulin and Espanola Lions Clubs.
Mike Dubreuil (DO-BRI) and Kari Bourque (BORE-K) from the Manitoulin Lions presented a cheque for a $1,000 and the Espanola Lions Club is also donating $200.
Those funds will be matched by Canadian Tire and will assist families with support to buy equipment and pay for registration for various sports.
So far, 30 youth from the Espanola, North Shore and Manitoulin Island have been assisted this year.
Application forms are available at the store and the Espanola Regional Recreation Complex.
