Three locals named to Patient and Family Advisory Committee

Sixteen northerners have accepted positions in the NE LHIN.

Kate Fyfe, interim CEO of the NE LHIN says 16 northerners have accepted positions on the first-ever Patient and Family Advisory Committee.

Fyfe says local residents Brenda Lediett of Blind River, Mary Murphy Foran of Elliot Lake and Robert Porter of Sagamok Anishnawbek First Nation have accepted positions.

The committee will hold its first meeting at the end of October.
Fyfe adds they are mandated to provide advice to the NE LHIN on how to provide better patient experiences across the coverage area and will also advise on communication and engagement with patients, and their friends and families.
