Operation Christmas Child is now under way in Elliot Lake.
The charity drive is overseen by Samaritans Purse.
The organization provides shoe boxes to Third World children in war-torn or disaster areas around the World.
Boxes can be filled with hygiene products, such as a tooth brush, a comb, gloves and toques, even a small toy and school supplies.
The public can pick up a shoe box at New Life Pentecostal Assembly on Esten Drive in Elliot Lake or call 705-848-3333. Various businesses taking part are Food Land, No Frills and Shoppers Drug Mart.
The deadline is November 14th.
