Arts centre headed to Sudbury’s downtown

A five-storey Francophone arts centre will soon dot Sudbury’s downtown.  The 60,000 square foot building will become a reality after FedNor announced a $12.5 million grant for the project.   Once complete, the arts centre will house 300 seats for various performances.   It will also accommodate an art gallery, studios and several multi-purposes rooms.  Nickle Belt MP Marc Serre says the centre will help grow the Francophone arts and culture in Sudbury and also boost the city’s economy.
