Rainbow Schools are making this winter a little warmer by participating in the Winter Clothing Drive.

Everyone is invited to drop off gently used winter clothing at any of the Rainbow District School Board’s elementary and secondary schools in Espanola, Massey, Manitoulin Island and Sudbury until October 30th.

This includes AB Ellis and Espanola High, as well as S. Geiger in Massey.

The clothing will then be redistributed within the schools and communities served by the board.

The third year for the project, Walden Public School Principal and co-ordinator, Chris Bourré says last year, 5,478 items were collected to help more than 3,600 families.

He adds the goal this year is 4,500 families.
