They don’t know when it is going to happen, but students at a Kirkland Lake school will be practicing a drill … not a fire drill … a lockdown and evacuation drill.
Kirkland Lake OPP in partnership with Kirkland Lake District Composite School will be conducting a lockdown and evacuation drill sometime this week, but they are not saying when so it can be realistic for the students.
Police say the drill will enhance the emergency procedures and response by the police at the school by allowing students and staff to respond appropriately during an emergency situation.
