The annual Moose Radiothon for the Elliot Lake Food Bank broke an old record of $11,000 set last year.
This Saturday, Moose FM 94.1 CKNR set a new one-day record of just over $12,000 collected in monetary donations and $300 in non-perishable food items.
A big thank you goes out to volunteers, musicians, Search and Rescue who manned the barbeque and others who helped stop traffic to ask for donations during the road toll.
The funding ensures the Elliot Lake Food Bank shelves are well stocked for the fall.
