Young ladies sought from local area for Ontario North pageant

Developing life skills including public speaking, putting your best foot forward, presenting a view point are all skills that can be developed through pageantry.

Young women from the local region are being invited to enter one of Canada’s most prestigious pageants to develop those skills, and make friends too!

The reigning Miss Northern Ontario Emma Morrison from Chapleau recently won the Miss Teenage Canada title.

She is encouraging young women from this area to connect and enter the pageant slated for May 2018 in Sudbury.

Director Cheryl Kozera (KOZ-AIR-RAH) adds young women from Espanola, North Shore, west to Elliot Lake and Iron Bridge, east to Nairn and all of Manitoulin Island are encouraged to enter to represent their home town or district.

Potential entrants should have a platform and be between the ages of 13 and 26.

The pageant averages between 40 to 45 ladies annually.

Kozera adds scholarships for education are also available.
