Saving Ojibway language focus of conference

It is hoped that First Nation Elders and other knowledgeable individuals will step forward to help save the Ojibway language.

M’Chigeeng Elders, members of the community and any others interested in preserving language and culture are invited to the conference, which will focus on preserving the First Nation language, Ojibway.

Bob Goulais will be the guest speaker focusing on how to find practical ways to preserve the language and helping to develop a strategy plan.

The all-day conference will also be looking for community input on forming an M’Chigeeng Elders Advisory Council.

It will be held this Saturday, September 30th at the Elders Language Activity Centre from 10 am to 3 pm.

Native and non-natives are invited to attend.

There is no admittance fee.
