Thibeault tells Sudbury bribe trial he never asked for cabinet post

Sudbury MPP and energy minister Glenn Thibeault says he never asked for a cabinet post nor was one offered when he was thinking of joining the Ontario Liberals.  The Sudbury Star says Thibeault met with Premier Kathleen to discuss his switching from the federal NDP to the Liberals and he told the Sudbury bribe trial she never offered him a cabinet portfolio.  Wynne appointed Thibeault to run in the Sudbury 2015 by-election.  Two senior Liberals are charged with bribing a former candidate in return for not running to clear a path for Thibeault. The accused deny the charges and Thibeault resumes his testimony today.
