Regional Chief talks about legalized pot

Ontario’s Regional Chief is weighing in on how Ontario plans to distribute marijuana once the drug becomes legal next July.   Isadore Day says legislation has to take into account First Nations who may want to develop the drug.  However Day says the provincial government has not asked for much input from First Nations about the legislation and adds this has to change.  In a report in the Ottawa Citizen, Day acknowledges there are First Nations that want to be involved with the industry and others that may want to ban the drug the same way alcohol is now prohibited on some reserves.
