An historic education agreement has been reached and Marc Serre is congratulating the 23 Anishinabek Nation First Nations. Â
The Nickel Belt MP says the agreement reached with the federal government gives Anishinabek control over the curriculum for J-K to Grade 12 in their schools. Â This allows them to promote Anishinaabe language and culture and teach Anishinabek youth to be proud of their culture. Â
Serre hopes the federal government works with First Nations across the country to reach similar agreements.
