The Espanola Minor Soccer Association is well represented at the North American Indigenous Games going on in Toronto and Hamilton. Six players from the league are taking part including Theron McGregor, Alara Owl and Miles Sutherland. The others are Mat Cyr, Grant Stonefish and Peter Toulouse. This is the first time Ontario has hosted the games. In all, more than five thousand athletes from North America are taking part in 14 sports. The competition continues into Saturday.
