Espanola is closer to getting a multi-year Recreation Plan. The group Sierra Planning and Management has compiled 41 recommendations for council and the public’s consideration. The document is available online for viewing at www.espanola.ca until July 27th. Public comments are welcome and residents can also fill out a survey. Recommendation include doing a user study to determine the real cost of delivering recreational services, more literacy programs at the library and making the Al Secord Trail longer. Sierra is expected to give its final report to council in the early fall.
