Historical Speaker Series kicks off in Kagawong

Kagawong area residents got to hear a bit of history at the Park Centre.  They took in the historical speaker series where author and TV-Ontario host Steve Paiken talked about former Ontario Premier Bill Davis.  Paiken has written a book about Davis called Bill Davis: Nation Builder, and Not so Bland After All.

Mike Mantha, the MPP for the riding, and Mayor Austin Hunt were also part of the event.  Hunt spoke about his days as the right hand man for former Prime Minister Lester Pearson who once was the MP for Algoma East.  After hearing stories about Davis and Pearson, Mantha told the crowd who knew that talking politics could be such fun.
