Four area hospitals get government cash for upgrades and repairs

The hospitals in Northeastern Ontario are getting $9.7 million from the Ministry of Health for upgrades and repairs.  St. Joseph’s Hospital in Elliot Lake is getting the most cash in the Moose FM coverage area at nearly $280,000.   Next on the list is the Espanola Regional Hospital and Health Centre at almost $224,000.   The Manitoulin Health Centre is in line for about $141,000 while the Blind River District Health Centre gets nearly $86,000.  Among the northeast’s 20 hospitals, The Timmins District Hospital got the most money at $2 million while $1.1 million went to Health Sciences North in Sudbury.
