Espanola and area residents want to drop by the library today.
Former resident Kevin Vincent is in town promoting two of his books about gold smuggling in mines. Vincent became aware of the issue when he moved to Timmins during the 1980s and compiled thousands of pages of research. He learned that the amount of money involved in gold smuggling just about rivals the money made in drug smuggling.
Vincent will be signing both volumes of his books as well as answer questions and he’s also showing a video.
Vincent continues to live in Timmins and is working on a documentary with TV-O about gold smuggling and is writing a screenplay based on his books that could become a television series.
Vincent is at the library from 9:00am to 7:00pm this evening.
