Uncategorized FONOM supports building code amendment SHARE ON: Rocco Frangione, contributor, Tuesday, Apr. 8th, 2014 The Federation of Northern Ontario Municipalities says an amendment to the Ontario Building Code should benefit the north. The proposed change allows buildings up to six storeys to be made from wood, an increase from the current four storeys. If the legislation passes a hearing stage, FONOM, says it means Northern Ontario can supply more wood for building materials. The amendment was proposed by Nipissing MPP Vic Fedeli as a Private Member’s Bill.
