Flooding closes food bank in Elliot Lake

Flooding will keep the Elliot Lake Emergency Food Bank from opening on Friday.  President Nicole Grenon says an issue with an apartment above the food bank resulted in part of the ceiling tiles giving way.  Grenon says there’s about two inches of water on the food bank floor and some foods, like cereals, were destroyed.  Grenon says the food bank has to bring someone in to clean up the mess and won’t be able to open on Friday.  At this point Grenon says it’s too early to say if the food bank can open on Monday.
