Someone has stolen numerous batteries from a Bell tower site in the Burwash-Killarney area. Sudbury police say 28 of the large-sized units were stolen and believe that because of their weight, the thieves loaded them into a large vehicle. The batteries are worth about $6,000 total. They were stolen sometime during the first three days of this month.
