This is Winterfest weekend in Elliot Lake. All the action is at Spruce Beach and shuttle buses from the Collins Hall and Centennial Arena will get visitors to the site. Among the activities are an ice fishing derby, bon fire, maple taffy on ice and horse-drawn sleigh rides. Saturday night there’s a fireworks show from the West View Park area. The admission is $5 a person or $15 for the family and that includes getting hot chocolate and hot dogs plus a Canada 150 collectible badge.
