The bad weather has forced tonight’s ARC meeting in Blind River to be re-scheduled. The new meeting date is now next Monday at Blind River Public School. The meeting begins at 6:30pm. The meeting is to discuss merging the elementary school with W.C. Eaket Secondary as the Algoma board copes with declining enrolment. Meanwhile several streets in Elliot Lake lost power for a few hours today. Residents communicating over Facebook indicate Tokyo and Axmith lost their lights. Another poster indicated that about 100 customers were affected. Also the Highway 17 Sudbury bypass is now open again after three vehicles collided and a tractor trailer jackknifed. There’s no word on injuries.
