Angus formally enters NDP race

The federal NDP race now has two contenders.    After B.C. MP Peter Julian declared his intentions in late December, Timmins-James Bay MP Charlie Angus has now jumped into ring.  Angus has represented the northern riding since 2004.  During his launch he said Canada faces a real economic division.  Angus says the federal Liberals lied to voters in the last election and says it`s time to elect someone ready to lead.  Angus says the NDP can bring some hope for change back to Canada and adds the party can build a new progressive movement.  The party`s leadership vote is this October.
