OPP in the Northeast are warning people about lake ice. With the warm temperatures we`ve seen over the past week, lakes that were safe to walk on only days ago, might no longer support your weight. Police say the ice on some lakes has become slushy because of the above zero temperatures. This means if the ice has lost some of its thickness, you could break through it by driving over it in a vehicle.
