Blind River Public School faces possible closure. The reason is the same one that so many schools in the north face; declining enrolment. The Algoma District School Board is considering closure as a possibility and merging the public school with W.C. Eaket Secondary School. The board will hold an Accommodation Review Committee meeting next month to discuss the merger. The proposal is to merge the JK to Grade 8 classes into the high school building. The ARC meeting takes place at Blind River Public School March 1st at 6:30pm.
