It’s carnival time at the Serpent River First Nation. The two-day event kicks off Friday evening with a euchre tournament and movie both at the Lifestyle Centre. The Lifestyle Centre inside and out is the site for the bulk of Saturday’s events including nail hammering and log sawing contests. There’s also face painting going on and a snow sculpturing contest. The carnival ends with a fireworks display Saturday at 7:30pm on the Powwow grounds. The fireworks are preceded by a free community supper.
