Family Room officially opens at HSN

Health Sciences North in Sudbury now has a home away from home for parents whose children are being treated at the hospital.  It’s a family room that Ronald McDonald House Charities has officially opened at the hospital.  The room is outfitted with a kitchenette, TVs, recliners and a fireplace lounge area.   The goal is to make sure parents remain healthy themselves while they spend numerous hours at the hospital staying with their children.  The facility is only moments away from the hospital’s pediatrics and neonatal ICUs and is staffed from 9:00am to 9:00pm seven days a week.   The family room went into operation last December and in less than three months has been used by 88 families.
