School helps Rotarians held up by snowstorm

A busload of people heading to a Rotary conference in Wawa got unexpected help in Sault Ste. Marie.  Last Thursday’s snowstorm shutdown Highway 17 north of the city and even though it re-opened later in the day, the bus driver could no longer drive without going over his daily hours.  However the 40 adults and students were invited to spend the night in the gymnasium at St. Ann Catholic School in the Sault.  Shortly after their arrival, the students and staff gave them hot chocolate and then Rotary members in the Sault provided supper.  The bus left for Wawa the next morning.
