Spring time can’t come soon enough for a cadet in Espanola. It’s because Blaise Gravelle gets to sail in the English Channel and parts of Europe for 12 days. The excursion is part of a training exercise on board the United Kingdom’s training ship Royalist. Gravelle will be joined by cadets from across Canada. Part of his activities include serving as lookout, rigging the sails and also being at the helm. Gravelle is a member of the Espanola Sea Cadet Corp, HERO 357.
