Man dies in snowmobile collision

A collision between two snowmobiles near Kirkland Lake has killed one man and injured another.   The victim is a 60-year-old resident of Dobie, a small community near Kirkland Lake.  Both the victim and the driver of the second snowmobile were thrown from their vehicles when they ran into each other on a trail.  The driver of the second sled, a 22-year-old from Englehart was seriously hurt and he’s being treated in Sudbury for non-life threatening wounds.  Police are continuing to investigate the crash, which took place Sunday afternoon.
