Charges in dog attack being fought

Two people facing charges after the death of a dog in Lively are fighting back.

A report in the Sudbury Star says Angela Trauner and Nick Coppo were in court on Monday.

The mother and son have been charged with failing to prevent a dog from biting or attacking.

The charge stems from an incident earlier this month in which a Norwegian elkhound was killed.

The Star says Trauner told reporters that when they found their dogs on the day of the attack there was no blood on them.

She also said that that same day a man on her street who owns similar dogs was also looking for his.
