Lieutenant Governor of Ontario’s northern tour wraps up tomorrow

Elizabeth Dowdeswell’s tour around northern Ontario is coming to a close tomorrow. The Lieutenant Governor of Ontario will be in the Northern Bruce Peninsula tomorrow. She’ll be on Manitoulin Island today, and was in Elliot Lake yesterday.

This trip is part of Dowdeswell’s ongoing program to travel to different communities across the province.

Dowdeswell’s trip to Elliot Lake included a meeting with the mayor, and touring the Mining Monument. She also met with representatives of the development community to discuss local initiatives. Dowdeswell also made stops at the Lester B. Pearson Civic Centre, the fire tower lookout, and Sheriff Creek Wildlife Sanctuary.
