An Espanola man accused of using social media to lure young boys is facing a six-week trial, which will begin next year. Paul McColeman, who is 44-years-old, is currently out on bail. His trial date could be set by the end of the week. He is facing 70 criminal charges, including luring children, sexual exploitation, and indecent exposure.
Police allege he used a fake Facebook account to lure kids into performing sexual acts in exchange for drugs or alcohol. Police have identified 20 victims, who range in ages from 12-16 at the time of the offences. Six weeks are being set aside for his trial.
