Fatal collisions rising

If the trend continues, Northeastern Ontario will record more highway deaths this year than last.  Last year 42 people died as the result of 40 collisions.  To date, the Northeast has seen 27 crashes which have killed 31 people.  Inspector Mark Andrews at OPP headquarters in North Bay says most of the fatal collisions have occurred in the Parry Sound area.  That region has seen seven fatal crashes while the Sudbury region recorded three deadly collisions.
