The first Junior-A preseason game in Elliot Lake is in honour of a local sports hero. Corey Jarvis won a silver medal at the Pan-Am games in wrestling. He will be at the game with his family to drop the puck. Admission into the game is $5, and all of the proceeds will go to help Jarvis pay for his trip to Vegas next month to compete at the World Wrestling Championships. After that, Jarvis is on to the Olympic trials to try and compete for Canada at the 2016 summer games in Rio. The hockey game is at 7-30 tonight at Centennial Arena.
