More program value is being added to Espanola’s Pumpkin Festival. Organizers have secured the appearance of professional pumpkin carver Melissa Lapierre. Lapierre will show off her expertise on October 21st when she goes to work on giant pumpkins. The site is the Espanola Regional Recreation Centre. In addition to Lapierre, wood carving pros Paul and Jacob Frenette from HGTV’s the Carver Kings also make an appearance at the festival.
