The Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry is trying to find who abandoned a gill net on Manitoulin. A Conservation Officer found the net on August 8th on Lake Wolsey after getting a complaint from the public. In the net were 40 pounds of rotting fish including yellow perch and walleye. Other species include common carp, catfish and smallmouth bass. The net has since been removed and if anyone has information on who left the net behind, you’re asked to call the ministry.
