Curling fans on Manitoulin and Espanola got to meet with world curling champs. The Brad Jacobs team of Sault Ste. Marie has been touring Ontario over the summer meeting and talk with fans. The members have also been showing their medals and they cover a wide area.
Not only has the Sault team won the Northern Ontario championship from 2010 to 2013, in 2013 they also won the Brier and World Championship. Then in 2014 Jacobs and his foursome won gold during the Winter Olympics. Jacobs stopped in Espanola, Little Current and Mindemoya on Wednesday.
The team has been visiting centres that have a Northern Credit Union branch under an agreement with the institution.
