Nipissing MPP Vic Fedeli says for some time the Progressive Conservatives have called the Wynne Liberals’ finances a sham. And Fedeli, who is the Tory finance critic, says now there’s proof from an independent expert. Fedeli says the Financial Accountability Officer is questioning the Liberals’ future forecasts because they’re based on optimistic targets. The FAO says if the government fails to meet those targets, then we could be right back in a deficit. The FAO says to maintain a balanced budget, the Liberals need new revenue or spend less. Fedeli expects if the Liberals are re-elected next year, they’ll continue raising taxes, cut health care and increase hydro rates.
