It’s a festive occasion at the food court tomorrow at the Pearson Plaza in Elliot Lake. That’s when the outlet sees the official opening of Chantis’ Fresh Café. The coffee, sandwich and juice bar is owned by the Turner family of Manitoulin which already operates Turners’ General Store in the plaza. Jib Turner also says once the weather cools off, Chantis will hold some arts events. In the meantime he expects it to become a social hub for residents. Chantis has been going through a soft opening since Wednesday. Friday’s official opening includes a ribbon cutting.
