The Metro grocery store on Lasalle in Sudbury has been fined $80,000 after a worker injured himself while grinding meat. The court set the amount after the grocer pleaded guilty. In the incident, the worker got hurt because even though the grinder was turned off, the arms kept rotating for about 10 seconds. The company has since modified grinders at all its outlets so that this type of accident doesn’t happen again. The Sudbury incident took place in November, 2015
