Wawa will be full of chess players this Thursday. The French Catholic School Board of Nouvel-Ontario is holding its annual chess tournament for its Grades 3 to 12 students. About 130 students from the northwest section of Algoma are taking part. Participants are from Sault Ste. Marie, Chapleau, Dubreuilville and Wawa. The school board holds the annual tournament and promotes chess as a way to help students engage in problem-solving activities.
