Pedestrian killed by train identified

 

Police have identified the pedestrian who was hit by a train north of Sudbury on Highway 144.   Dead is 60-year-old Barbara Ronson of Cartier.  OPP still haven’t said what caused the woman to get hit Wednesday afternoon on the CPR line.  Meanwhile a 79-year-old Sudbury woman is charged with careless driving after his vehicle was hit by a train on the CNR line on Highway 17 in Coniston. This unrelated crash happened about an hour after the woman was hit by the train on the CP track.
