OPP used a spike belt to stop a speedy driver near the Mississauga First Nation. The Calgary man was driving a stolen pick-up truck and hitting speeds well over 140 kilometres an hour. Police say he was also passing other vehicles dangerously. The spike belt was laid down just west of Iron Bridge and once the truck was disabled, the man was arrested. The 25-year-old is charged with dangerous driving, driving without a license and possession of property obtained by crime over five thousand dollars. The pick-up had been stolen from Toronto.
