Trial in shooting case delayed

A 33-year-old Sagamok man charged with attempted murder is having a tough time getting a trial.  It’s because Tristan Sago still doesn’t have a lawyer.  Sago can’t afford a lawyer and hasn’t been able to get legal aid.  He’s now applying for a provision where the province would pay for his lawyer.  Sago has been behind bars since his arrest a year ago in November following the shooting of Ronald Owl also from Sagamok.  Owl has since recovered from his gunshot wounds.  At the time the incident locked down the reserve for almost a day as police searched for Sago.
