Sagamok Chief supports Sioux Tribe opposition to pipeline

The Chief of the Sagamok First Nation hopes there’s a peaceful resolution to a controversial pipeline project in the U.S. state of Dakota.  The Standing Rock Sioux Tribe is opposing the pipeline because a rupture could contaminate the region’s water supply.  Sagamok Chief Paul Eshkakogan says the Sioux Tribe is right to oppose the project and his reserve stands with them.  Eshkakogan believes any attempt to remove the protestors could result in an international response from First Nations.
