Knitting challenge is on

Some high-profile residents in Elliot Lake will be needling each other Friday.   Five residents, including Mayor Dan Marchisella and riding MPP Mike Mantha, are taking part in a knitting challenge with the goal of finishing a particular project.  The big winner is the Elliot Lake Food Bank which gets cash and food from the winner.  The other participants are Fire Chief John Thomas, the head of ELNOS, William Elliott, and the editor of The Standard, Kevin McSheffrey.  The knitting face off is open to the public who can also bring along food items or donate cash.  It’s at the Knitting Room on Columbia Walk at 1:00pm.
