Community Living Algoma, which rents space in the Civic Centre in Elliot Lake, has to wait a while longer to learn if it can stay at the site. That’s because the majority of council is deferring the issue at the request of councillor Candace Martin. Martin wants CLA’s financial statements to help her decide if it should remain at the Civic Centre. The request surprised councillor Connie Nykyforak who says council should not be deciding the criteria for who stays or goes at this stage. CLA’s lease runs out in December, 2017.
